A man was arrested for allegedly raping and killing a six-year-old girl at Hoysala Nagar in the cityph dream, police said on Tuesday.

"There won't be a vacuum. Someone will come in my place, for sure. All the sports are like that. Sachin Tendulkar was there and now there is Virat Kohli, and someone will take his place tomorrow. So, Sreejesh was there yesterday, but someone else will come and take his place tomorrow," the goalkeeping stalwart told PTI in an interview at the India House in Paris.

"Yes, definitely, the mental toughness of this side is totally different. We are a united bunch and we backed each other and motivated each other when chips were down," Harmanpreet told PTI after returning to the country on Saturday.

Abhishek Kumar, who hails from Bihar and works as a construction labourer, raped the girl in the absence of his parents.

They said the victim's parents are from Nepal and work at the same place.

The accused lured the girl and took her to a secluded place where he raped her leading to her death, they said.

When people learnt about it, they caught him, beat him up and handed him over to the police.

The Ramamurthy Nagar police have booked the accused under POCSO case and relevant sections of the BNS.ph dream
