New Zealand won the toss and have opted to field first against Nigeria in match No.11 of the ICC Women's Under-19 T20 World Cup 2025 at Borneo Cricket Ground in Sarawak, Malaysia on Monday, January 20. (More Cricket News)

Here's the latest update from the New Zealand vs Nigeria, Group C match.

The toss was slightly delayed after Sarawak, in east Malaysia and northwest of Borneo, continued to get its fair share of rain and thunderstorms.

The crunch New Zealand vs Nigeria fixture was scheduled to start at 8:00 AM IST (10:30 AM local) and a few interruptions could see another no result here.

On Saturday, Nigeria's opener against Samoa was abandoned without toss.

The second match at the venue however got a result as New Zealand could muster only 69/5 in reply to South Africa's 91/7 in a rain-affected match, reduced to 11 overs a side.

The second edition of ICC Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup features 16 teams, and are divided into four groups of four teams each.

After the group stage, the top three teams from each group will advance to the next round, the Super Six. India are the inaugural champions.
