LOS ANGELES – Comedian and television personality Trevor Noah will host the 67th annual Grammy Awards ceremony, marking his fifth straight year as the event’s emcee, the Recording Academy announced Tuesday.
The ceremony will be held Feb. 2 at Crypto.com Arena. The Recording Academy last week announced some scheduling changes to Grammy Week events, including cancellations of some gatherings, due to the impact of the Los Angeles-area wildfires.
The Academy also announced that the Feb. 2 Grammy ceremony would go on as planned, but it will double as a fundraising effort “to support wildfire relief efforts and honoring the bravery and dedication of first responders who risk their lives to protect ours.”

As a result of additional contributions, the LA Fire Relief Effort has already distributed over $2 million in emergency aid to those most in need, the academy said in Monday’s letter.

The event, scheduled to take place in wildfire-ravaged Los Angeles, will refocus the show on fire relief efforts and honoring first responders.
The Recording Academy will be “raising additional funds to support wildfire relief efforts and honoring the bravery and dedication of first responders who risk their lives to protect ours,” CEO Harvey Mason Jr. and Board of Trustees Chair Tammy Hurt said in a letter sent to Recording Academy members on Monday.
“In challenging times, music has the power to heal, comfort, and unite like nothing else. The Grammys will not only honor the artistry and achievements of our music community but also serve as a platform to amplify the spirit of resilience that defines this great city of Los Angeles.” (With CNS report)
